What works in Transcrever today
See what you can use now and how to continue when an input method is not yet available.
What is available now?
- Upload compatible audio and video files and choose the spoken language.
- Add names and terms as vocabulary hints before transcription and separate speakers when several people are in the recording.
- Listen to each passage, search the text, and find and replace exact occurrences of a repeated error.
- Rename speakers throughout the transcript or change and remove the speaker from one passage.
- Split or delete passages, merge adjacent passages from the same speaker, and edit start and end times.
- Resume saved corrections after a refresh in the same browser; cross-device history is available on Pro and Studio.
- Download the reviewed result as TXT, DOCX, SRT, or VTT.
Minute, duration, file-size, and daily task limits depend on the plan. Check the current values on Plans and pricing before sending a long file or a large set of recordings.
What is not available yet?
Transcription from a link: Transcrever does not currently import content from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or another URL. Download a file that you have permission to use and upload it with Video · Audio.
Recording in the browser: you cannot start a recording inside Transcrever yet. Record with your phone, computer, or another app, then upload the saved file.
How will you know when an option is ready?
When a new option is ready, you will be able to use it from the first step through to the downloaded file. Until then, upload a saved recording using the alternatives above.
How can you suggest a feature?
When you contact support, describe the kind of recording and the result you need. Do not send passwords, full card details, or a confidential recording just to suggest a feature.
