What does Transcrever capture from an MP4?
Transcrever uses the video's audio track. Speech that can be heard in that track can be included in the transcript.
Images, slides, and words shown only on screen are not read. If an explanation depends on visual material, keep the video or supporting document open while correcting the transcript.
How to turn MP4 into text

What should you review in the video's audio?
Music, background noise, echo, and overlapping speech can create incorrect words or incomplete passages. Pay particular attention to names, numbers, technical terms, and anything that will be quoted or published.
If the video has no usable audio track, there is no speech to transcribe. Check that the file plays with sound before uploading it.

What can I do if the video is over the limit?
The upload area shows your maximum file size. Maximum duration is 10 minutes without an account, 30 minutes on Free, 3 hours on Pro, and 6 hours on Studio. If the video exceeds the displayed limit, trim the section you need or compare the limits of the other plans before trying again.
Daily file limits are 10 without an account and 20 when using the Free allowance. Pro, Studio, and transcriptions using purchased minutes have no daily file-count limit; available minutes and per-file limits still apply.
Can I identify who is speaking in the video?
Yes. Enable speaker separation when uploading the file. Transcrever creates a voice label for each participant; listen to the recording and replace the labels with the correct names in the transcript editor.
Which formats can I download the result in?
You can download TXT for plain text or DOCX to keep working in a document editor. Use SRT or VTT when you need speech with time ranges. Saved corrections remain available after a refresh in the same browser; cross-device task history is available only on Pro and Studio.
What happens to the video after I upload it?
Once the transcription is complete, the uploaded video file is deleted about 24 hours later. The transcript remains available for 7 days without an account and on Free, 30 days on Pro, and 90 days on Studio; download the reviewed file to keep your corrections.
