How should you prepare the WhatsApp audio?

Use the share or save option on the voice message to create a file on your device. Transcrever does not access your conversation or import a link; you select and upload only the saved audio.

The file may arrive as OGG or M4A. Play it before uploading to confirm the message is complete, and select the language actually spoken. Enable speaker separation only when there is more than one voice.

Daily file limits are 10 without an account and 20 when using the Free allowance. Pro, Studio, and transcriptions using purchased minutes have no daily file-count limit; available minutes and per-file limits still apply.

What do you receive?

  • The message divided into editable passages.
  • Time ranges for returning to the matching point in the audio.
  • Voice labels that can be removed or replaced with names.
  • Search, playback, and TXT, DOCX, SRT, or VTT download after review.

Saved corrections remain available after a refresh in the same browser. Cross-device task history is available only on Pro and Studio.

How to review the message transcript

1. Confirm the beginning and end

Check that the first and last topics in the message appear in the text. For long audio, search for words you remember to locate each part.

2. Correct names, numbers, and terms

Listen again to proper names, orders, dates, amounts, addresses, and muffled words before copying the content.

3. Identify the voices you need

If there is more than one person, rename the labels after recognizing each voice. For a single voice message, remove a label when it does not help with the next use.

How can you use the reviewed text?

Copy checked passages into a conversation or download TXT for plain text. Use DOCX to continue in a document, and SRT or VTT when the next system needs speech with time ranges.

A practical review example

For a customer message containing an order and a date, search for the product name, open the passage, listen to the audio, and correct the numbers. Copy only the text you have checked into the service conversation.

When does the recording need more attention?

Street noise, low volume, music, and overlapping speech can hide words. Automatic transcription can also confuse names and numbers, so compare important information with the original message.

Questions about WhatsApp audio

Do I need to connect my WhatsApp account?

No. Save the voice message as a file and upload that file. Transcrever does not read conversations or import messages by link.

What if the transcription option disappeared or is unavailable?

Save or share the audio as a file and upload it here. Native availability can vary; this flow depends on the file you control.

How long can the audio be?

Maximum duration is 10 minutes without an account, 30 minutes on Free, 3 hours on Pro, and 6 hours on Studio. If the file exceeds your access limit, trim the section you need or compare plans before uploading.

What happens to the audio after upload?

Once transcription is complete, the uploaded audio file is deleted about 24 hours later. The transcript remains available for 7 days without an account and on Free, 30 days on Pro, and 90 days on Studio; download the reviewed result to keep your corrections.

If the file is M4A or OGG

Follow the path for the format saved on your device and upload it without conversion when it is already accepted.
