What kind of OGG can I upload?
Upload the original OGG message or recording. For audio from a conversation, save the audio rather than copying the conversation URL. Message files ending in OPUS are also accepted directly.
If the file picker does not show the message, check its saved folder and download any cloud copy to your device. Renaming it to MP3 will not fix a missing or incomplete file.
Leave speaker separation off for an individual voice note. Enable it when the file has several voices you need to distinguish.

How to convert OGG to text

Open the completed transcript, play passages that need checking, and correct names, technical terms, and unclear words.

For forwarded messages, check that the file contains the whole message. Listen to amounts, addresses and negatives before replying; street noise can hide short words.
Questions about converting OGG to text
Is the OGG a voice message from a chat app?
Yes, that format is common for voice messages. Save the audio file on your device and upload it like any other recording; the review works the same way.
What can I do if the OGG is over the limit?
The upload area shows your maximum file size. Maximum duration is 10 minutes without an account, 30 minutes on Free, 3 hours on Pro, and 6 hours on Studio. If the file exceeds the displayed limit, trim the section you need in an audio editor or compare the limits of the other plans before trying again.
For occasional work, you can also buy minutes without a subscription. Files paid with these minutes can be up to 3 hours and 1 GB, or 6 hours and 2 GB on Studio. Buying minutes keeps your current plan’s history and retention rules.
Daily file limits are 10 without an account and 20 when using the Free allowance. Pro, Studio, and transcriptions using purchased minutes have no daily file-count limit; available minutes and per-file limits still apply.
What happens to the OGG after I upload it?
Once the transcription is complete, the uploaded audio file is deleted about 24 hours later. The transcript remains available for 7 days without an account and on Free, 30 days on Pro, and 90 days on Studio; download the reviewed file to keep your corrections.
If the audio is WAV or MP3
Recordings from editing software are usually WAV, and older files are MP3. The upload and review flow is the same for both formats.
