Transcrever vs TurboScribe: prices, file limits and practical choices
Compare a one-off 90-minute interview, 500 minutes a month and long recordings, with actual costs and per-file limits.
For a one-off 90-minute interview, Transcrever lets you buy 200 minutes for US$ 6 outside Brazil, without a subscription. For many hours every month or recordings longer than six hours, TurboScribe Unlimited is worth comparing. File length and frequency of use determine which option fits.

One 90-minute interview
Transcrever’s minimum purchase is 200 minutes for US$ 6, or R$ 30 in Brazil. If the measured recording is exactly 90 minutes, 110 remain for later. Google sign-in is required; a subscription is not. A 90-minute file exceeds both services’ free per-file limits.
A month of TurboScribe Unlimited costs US$ 20 and accepts a file of that length. For one project, compare that payment with the one-time minute purchase, rather than treating an annual monthly equivalent as a one-month purchase. These examples keep the interview intact.
Five hundred minutes every month
Buying 500 Transcrever minutes costs US$ 15; Pro monthly is US$ 11.99 for the same allowance. In Brazil the comparison is R$ 75 versus R$ 59.90. Pro therefore costs less than buying all 500 minutes separately at that recurring volume.
TurboScribe’s annual payment is US$ 120, compared with Transcrever Pro’s US$ 131.89 outside Brazil. If you can commit to a year and need high volume, TurboScribe may offer a better price/capacity fit. Try your own recordings before committing to either annual plan.
One very long recording
A four-hour recording fits Studio but exceeds Pro’s and a Free account’s purchased-minute limit of three hours per file. An eight-hour recording exceeds all current Transcrever plans, while fitting TurboScribe Unlimited’s advertised duration limit, provided it is also within 5 GB. Additional minute balance does not itself increase a file limit.
What to test before paying
Use the same five-to-ten-minute sample in both services, including a speaker change, names and background noise. Compare meaning-changing errors, correction effort and the file you need to deliver. Feature lists do not establish an accuracy winner.
Transcrever lets you correct text and speaker labels, split or merge compatible passages, adjust times manually and export TXT, DOCX, SRT and VTT. Check the export options available in your TurboScribe account. For captions, import the output into your video editor and check timing.
History and purchased minutes are separate
Transcrever Pro and Studio include cross-device task history and retain results for 30 and 90 days respectively. Free retains results for seven days without cross-device history. Buying minutes does not add those benefits to Free or remove an existing subscriber’s benefits. Source audio from completed tasks is scheduled for deletion after 24 hours; review against the audio within that period and keep your original.
